The history of facial acupuncture

The practice dates back to 221 BC in the Qin Dynasty when acupuncture and herbal medicines were provided for emperors and empresses to enhance their natural beauty and delay aging.

How facial acupuncture works?

Facial acupuncture is a safe and natural alternative to invasive anti-aging procedures and chemicals.

This ancient Chinese practice uses fine-gauge needles placed in specific “problem” areas on the face, such as frown lines, crow’s feet, mouth lines, and jowls.

At B&Q Acupuncture, our practitioners treat our patients with extra care and focuses on each individual’s needs. We often combine the sessions with additional treatments for extra enhancements.

• Stage 1 Facial Acupuncture
• Stage 2 Facial Electro-acupuncture
• Additional Treatments include cupping, acupressure, facial massage, the gua sha,
  a Chinese jade tool for facial massage.

Results vary from person to person, depending on the age, health, and lifestyle of each individual. Muscle relaxation and stress reduction may be seen after the first visit, as well as better “beauty” sleep.

Wrinkle line improvements may take up to 2-3 months worth or treatments and your health and body will respond positively with each treatment.

What you need to prepare before your appointment?

• Please come as make up free as possible.
• Have something to eat within two hours of your facial appointment.
• During facial gua sha or facial massage, we will use some facial essential oil. If you would like to use your own products especially with sensitive skin, please feel free to bring your own in.
