Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), is a hormone produced by the pituitary gland to stimulate the ovaries to develop follicles. It is checked routinely between days 2-4 of the menstrual cycle. The reason is woman’s FSH level fluctuates daily at different days of the cycle. Ideally most doctors would like to see this level to be below 10 mIU/mL. An FSH level of 12 or over is considered to be a warning sign.
Many women cannot start IVF or IUI cycle due to high FSH level as their bodies may most likely response to IVF drugs poorly. FSH level indicates poor egg quality and less egg reserve.

How To Reduce FSH at B&Q Acupuncture?
It is generally assumed FSH getting higher is part of the ageing process and cannot be reversed. However, we see a substantial number of patients who have high FSH regardless of age. We found that the real problem is that they have hormone imbalance which is often manifested in high FSH and low Oestradiol.
At B&Q Acupuncture, we have help to lower FSH levels for hundreds of patients after systematic record for over a decade. We aim to improve the functioning of reproductive organ systems. As their functioning improve, better hormones follow. We offer acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine help to support and nourish the pituitary gland and the hypothalamus, both of which contribute to your FSH levels.
